Steve Kerr is an American former basketball player and current head coach of the NBA's Golden State Warriors. At 1.91 meters tall, he played the point guard/shooting guard position. As a player he was NBA champion 5 times with two different teams (Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs) and as a coach he has won 3 titles with the Golden State Warriors. As of today, he is still the best three-point shooter in terms of shooting percentage in the history of the NBA. He is one of only four players in history, along with Frank Saul, Patrick McCaw and Danny Green to win back-to-back championships on two different teams.

In December 2021, he is named head coach of Team USA until 2024.

With no experience as an assistant, having been a television analyst since his retirement, the Golden State Warriors offered him the head coaching job, winning the battle against other teams interested in him, such as the New York Knicks. On January 3, Steve Kerr becomes the first "rookie" coach to achieve a 30-5 record in his start in the history of the NBA. On June 16, 2015, he wins his first ring as coach against Cleveland Cavaliers (4-2).

In the 2015/16 season he reaches the Finals, but loses to the Cavs, in Game 7 (3-4). On June 12, 2017 he wins his second ring as coach with Golden State Warriors, again against the Cavs (4-1).

The following year, on June 8, 2018 he gets his third ring as coach with Golden State Warriors after a sweep of Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals (4-0).

On January 26, 2019, he achieves his 300th win as coach, with a record of 300-77 he is the fastest coach to achieve this number of wins, with fewer games played.That season, he reaches the NBA Finals again, for the fifth consecutive year, but they fall defeated by Toronto Raptors (2-4).

He will intersperse his duties as U.S. national coach from 2022 to 2024, with Mark Few, Erik Spoelstra and Monty Williams as assistants.
